The Streets of Orthis

This is my forth work set in the Mirrored Realms. As part of the Plague War series, this story, along with my other work 'A Gathering Darkness'. sets the scene for the beginnings of the war. Introducing characters and locations that play pivotal roles in the upcoming war.

The city state of Orthis, the jewel of the human kingdoms and birthplace of humanities democracy. Yet beneath its lush parks and immaculate water gardens darker things lurk unseen. In one such shadowy corner of the great city a threat grows stronger, feeding upon the innocent its power grows, waiting for the moment it can unleash itself upon the unsuspecting city.

A story told in three separate tales. Each tale following a new group as the mantle of responsibility passes between them. from the threats discovery, through to final reckoning. All the while the city itself goes about its business in blissful ignorance.
